The 2002 Whitney, when Left Bank matched the track record and managed to hold off Street Cry and Lido Palace. He ran a huge race. Unfortunatley I think that might have been his last race.

Default Going back a bit...

I always harken back to the Preakness that Afleet Alex won when someone asks this sort of question. Boy, what an athlete that horse was. And what a save at the top of the stretch to come back up from the knees after being cutoff and win going away. I probably replayed that race 15 times, I couldn't believe it.
