I really thought there would be much more heavy hitting up front in the Beaumont. You assume a rider realizes that the best chance for a speed horse to win is to use the horse's speed.
Another stellar job by Corey Lanerie there, take back a speed horse, it really worked out well for him there. |

I figure that you get 4 horses going for the lead setting a very honest pace possibly setting up a closer, but you can't really handicap riders riding their horses in a manner that doesn't give the horse the best chance it has to win.
