What happened in her comeback race? I honestly never saw it.

this is from the bloodhorse article about the FDL:

She came off a runner-up finish to Awesome Maria in the Sabin Stakes (gr. III) at Gulfstream Park to finish ninth against the boys in the March 31 Dubai World Cup after being stopped in traffic last time out at Meydan.

“She just had a very poor trip in the Dubai World Cup,” remarked Benjamin Leon, owner of Besilu Stable. “I believe she’s capable of competing at that level and with a better trip I think she could have won. I’m really hoping she stays healthy and wins enough this year to be invited back again. I think she could become the first female to win the Dubai World Cup; she’s definitely of that caliber.”

here's an article and comments from the connections after the race:

http://cs.bloodhorse.com/blogs/dubai...world-cup.aspx

and really, i don't know if they have a valid bone to pick with lezcano-maybe she doesn't like awt's? maybe the owner doesn't like that he paid out a ton of money for the horse and she finished ninth, so he has to have a person to blame?
i do like the fact tho that when he told pletcher he was giving RD and some of his others to mott, (moved some to chad brown as well) that pletcher didn't like it, so he took them all away.

I just can't bet any of these races. There's no detention barn, for goodness' sake, and some of the horses won't even ship in until the day of the race.

Race 6 Regret Stakes looks like a good bettting opportunity. Funny Proposition (8-1), Heart of Destiny (12-1), Silver Hustler (20-1), Zapper Belle (20-1), Singn On Themoon (20-1), Treasured Up (10-1) all look possible in exotics.

Unfortunately, my computer cut off while I was posting so this is going to come off as a redboard but I honestly was going to say..........I like them to finish as the last four.

I wish I could have the last few minutes back. That race was brutal to watch. It had to just drop Game on Dude to odds-on for the BC Classic.

Why did Velazquez have Wise Dan so close to the pace? Seemed like he was so freaked out about Nate's Mineshaft getting away from him that he ended up setting the table for a plodder like Ron the Greek to come along and nail him.

That is my story. It's either that or be forced to admit to have basically done the worst handicapping job this board has seen in a long time.

I think he is OK. He has now paired up 2 major G1 wins. Not that the division is super strong, but hes the front runner right now. It feels like any race a horse like Shack is in could collapse if they stretch him back out, so maybe Ron keeps finding ways to win. Rumor is Royal DeltA will be facing the boys again soon, if not soon JCGC.
