![]() If there's anything disappointing about her interview, it's that she didn't take the time to talk up the excitement of riding a thoroughbred, owning a thoroughbred, winning a race, etc.
I know I make sure I express the excitement I feel whenever I talk about owning racehorses to my friends......we need more owners and Chantal doing a little advertising for the value of owning would have been a good thing to see. |

![]() nice interview with conan o'brien.
A female doesn't really crack the Southern California Riding Colony. Julie Krone cracked the circuit during her comeback back in 2003. But it was cut short because of a spill. Chantal I know isn't in the same league as Julie but I know Chantal has some talent but not anywhere near Bejarano's, Rosario's, Gomez's etc. But one female though has gotten my impression on the New York Riding Circuit and she finished 4th in the Belmont standings and has a chance to crack the top 5 this year at Saratoga and her name is Anna Rosie Napravnik. She's probably the best female to come out since Julie came out. She's more talented than Chantal and always has mind focused on racing. She's climbing up right now the ladder that Julie climbed and is getting up there. I actually think Emma Jayne Wilson who's right now like a top 5 jockey at Woodbine is more talented than Chantal actually. Emma really has done well since she debuted and was even leading jockey at Woodbine when she came out. Something that Chantal has never accomplished. Finally, I think Chantal would've made it in Southern California if she had stood here and never have gone back and forth between Santa Anita in the winter and Woodbine the rest of the year. Because her 1st year coming she was hitting at consistent numbers but of course she was hungry to get more winners so that's why she went back to Canada. But if she had stood here she would've been an established rider cracking the top 5 at each meet. |
