#20 and #21 are first-crop War Fronts like Soldat and The Factor ... he's getting front-end speed routers. I almost fell down when I glanced at his win percentage with routers a few weeks ago ... than my eyes moved left and I saw the sample size wasn't sh!t.

I like how the Larry Jones trained one has run five Beyers of 47 or less in seven races .. Eight Belles had a physcotic form like that early on. Probably the only reason they included her in this bet.
I agree with this but the total pool in the Oaks is so much smaller than the Derby that I don't know what kind of value prop the field would be if that's what you meant. Taking stabs at higher individual runners might not be a bad idea though.

Runflatout is getting pummeled in the pools so far. He is the current favorite at 5/2 off a 50/1 ML. To Honor and Serve is 2nd choice at 4/1, Uncle Mo 3rd choice at 7/1 and the field is at 10/1.

Only really stupid people would bet this early, so that's why the odds are really stupid.

I'll be dipping in this one also. Gonna box Kathmanblu with Dancinginherdreams, Delightful Mary, Its Tricky, Joyful Victory, R Heat Lighting, Rigoletta, Royal Delta, Zazu, All Others

If Kathmanblu is 8/1> I will play her to win also.

The only way I can begin to comprehend a wager into this pool this early is if the bettor mistakenly thinks he gets the odds at the time of the wager. And it would not surprise me if some people think that.

Well, the only legit reason I can see to make the wager this early is if you won't be able to make the wager later on, say like you will be at a wedding.

If The Factor stays at 30-1 through today, I may be forced to jump aboard.

I hope you're booking him at that microscopic price.

I doubt she can even beat the horse that was 2nd to her last out at Fair Grounds.

I'm with you.

Maybe Mike Watchmaker made up for excluding It's Tricky on his Top 10 by putting a $1,000 on her because someone just did.

I saw that. . . 19-1 to 8-1. I bet a fair amount, but not enough to do that! Time to cancel.

I've never placed a Kentucky Derby future wager before (or any future wagers, for that matter), but I'm throwing in a few this year. Just in case I'm down and out, drunk on the side of the road or in some alley come that first saturday in May, I'll still be able to stagger into a bar and watch the race with great delight.

I liked what Joyful Vicotry did yesterday at Oaklawn. I put a few bucks on her today.

I guess we are to assume that the big bet made on Runflatout was cancelled?

I don't think you can cancel wagers made into the KY Derby future pools, matter fact, I tried earlier today after I screwed up one of mine and on Twin Spires, you couldn't cancel.

You can't cancel through the tote either to the best of my knowledge.

One of the tellers accidently bet $100 on Blue Burner one year .... I offered him $7 for the ticket the next day - and he got pissed.
