![]() Have you seen Troncoso this year? He's not got it. Belisario may be rounding into some form, but he won't be lights out. They only use Kuo in spots, because his control isn't good enough. Fernando Rodney is lights out in the 8th inning right now for the Angels. He's not mediocre. If the lefty closer gets hurt, or struggles, he'll easily close games. I know the Dodgers weaknesses. They are a very lazy team, and the b.p. is not good at protecting leads on the road (at all.) O.K., now you say the cheating wife is keeping them from spending. Didn't they squander the lead in game 4 of the LCS in '08? No effort then to get a quality set-up guy. They lucked into Troncoso n' Belisario pitching good for half the 09 season. They aren't gunna be able to do that again. Sherril fits the mediocre middle reliever label that you referred to. I looked at Rhodes stuff in Cincy last week. It's strong. I don't understand (in general) the stupidity shown by this organization towards middle to late relief. You need some talent to hold down teams that are playing at home. They tend to rely heavily on hope, and hope (alone) is an immature emotion. Poor bridges (to the closer) will destroy morale if it continues to be ignored. I don't see them making the post with these huge holes. They'll be about .333 on the road, because they won't be able to hold leads.
