![]() Jim Brown - Jerry Rice - Randy Moss?
The record for most TD's in NFL history has been held by either Jim Brown or Jerry Rice for almost the past 50 years. Moss has the 2nd most TD catches in NFL history and is now just 59 TD's short of catching Jerry Rice. Rice played over 8 full seasons longer than Moss. I think Moss breaks that one if he cares to stay around. Moss has 148 career TD catches. Hall of Fame wide reciever Lynn Swan had just 51. Hall of Fame wide reciever Michael Irvin had just 65. Wes Welker has just 16 for his entire career. 51 + 65 +16 = 132 - that's 16 less than 148. Everyone thinks the 2007 Patriots offense was the best unit of all-time because they own all the records ... but without a doubt the 1998 Vikings had the best offensive unit of all-time. I realize they were 15-1 instead of 16-0 and only scored the 2nd most points in NFL history to the '07 Pats .. but they controlled the ball with balance, were more explosive with a younger Moss, and didn't run the score up on teams in the 2nd half. exactly 7:00 minutes in is the clip on Moss as a rookie. He only played 2 years of college. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMQ4w...eature=related |
