I imagine thats true. Leparoux could ride on broken beer bottles and win races. Hes living proof that a rider who is smart and reads biases and places himself in the right spots can be very successful without being strong. Kid just makes the right moves most of the time. Hes talented.

Lep is actually a pleasure to talk to after a race. He gives a great explenation of what happened in the race, how the horse felt etc etc. He is just fabulous from all angles.

The top trainers this spring at Keeneland (Pletcher, McGaughey, Zito, Matz with Barbaro) all used the training track over the main, I have never seen the maintrack so quiet before- everyone was busy on the ploy track.

Trainers from the bottom to the top love training on the surface. Turfway is PACKED full with top trainers horses. Mott, Pletcher, Romans, Asmussen, etc etc all have horses at Turfway this summer.

and i read they are tweeking the surface at Turfway to curtail some of that kick back...the bigest thing i see are the Turfway numbers of fatalities way down after installing ploy...that carries a lot of weight. we'll take a close look at Keeneland this fall.
