It was terrible... your right the camera's stayed on him for toooo long... JJ told them to get the camera off him... then again at the barn they were trying to get pics.. JJ and me got security to bring screens and we held them with the guards... they don't realize (or care to I guess) the negative impact...

Samm,
I'm totally with you.
Unfortunately, tragedy and gore sells...sad but true. How many times did we see Princess Diana's car? How many times did we see a replay of a NASCAR crash that claimed a human life?
MY hopes and prayers are with Barbaro. Thanks for your efforts to spare us the horrid sight. There certainly have been more than enough replays of Prado pulling him up as quickly as he could.

I'm sorry you had to deal with that, too, Samm. It does seem like the media can be the biggest rubberneckers when tragedy hits, doesn't it? But I guess if people didn't watch it, they wouldn't show it. Vicious cycle.

As soon as the broadcast was over and the shock wore off....i sat in horror...
disgusted with myself. I remember telling a lady at work who has 2 young teen girls and a 6 year old boy who LOVES sports to watch the race....they just may be seeing history. I know her girls liked horses a little but the boy was looking forward to the race. I actually got a lot of people watching races over the last 3 years. I know its not my fault but I was horified.
