No one can run with Samba Rooster early. . . He'll run off like he did in the Lexington but this time it'll be on dirt at a shorter distance. . . Game over. . .

My Pal Charlie has a good shot here. Competitive via numbers and should get a good trip off what should be an insane speed duel..

I agree other than the distance is actually the same as the Lexington. This thing could look like Sinister Minister at the Blue Grass a couple years ago IMO.

Good point - was thinking the Lex was 9F for some reason . . . oops . . . won't matter, though

Default Samba Rooster Key

If you like Samba Rooster to win it. Hit the all button for second so you don't leave a big ticket out there..... Go EGM....

Quick question. Can I bet the lonestar derby and Peter Pan in a Philly OTB? Or are the signals blocked?

thanks!

As far as I know you can. Lone Star's signal is only blocked from ADWs and Belmont signed a deal with the Mid-Atlantic cooperative on Thursday. You should be OK.

Leonides.

Possible harrasser horse.
I would feel better if he were not present.

Default Texas Stallion Stakes (9th race)

Hey, gotta give props to my friend's horse, Ferdinand's Flyer, who competes in today's Texas Stallion Stakes (9th race). FF tuned up nicely in 6 furlong dash on April 27. He ran well and came out of race ready for this one. Owners and trainer will concede that 8.5F is not his best distance. However, he may get part of exotics and, if Gold Coyote has off day, take top prize.

He should show speed but he won't be near Samba. . . It's not like Gomez is gonna try to rate this horse or slow it down on the front end. . . I'm far more worried about getting My Pal Charlie up underneath than Samba Rooster winning. . . After him the race is incredibly wide open but I had to take some sort of stand somewhere. . .

They have not let Leonides roll yet.
I dont even know why he is in the race.
Thats what is worrysome.
Some sort of sacrifice.

The track should definitely favor your choice.

Default El Gato Malo

He had some trouble but fought through and won. I think the Belmont might not be out of the question next... Watch out for Lt. Ron in the Barbaro Stakes if he's looking better this week.......
