Easily. All I saw was empty yellow seats Saturday.

The field was not that bad for the USF-PITT game. It was brown and somewhat torn up, but players weren't losing their footing all over the place.

How they thought they could lay new sod over the old sod under pure sunshine and have it ready for a Monday night game 48 hours is beyond me. The rain made it impossible, but even if it was dry, the sod would be coming up in massive chunks during the game. Most teams re-sod when their team is on the road so they have at least two weeks to try to get some root growth.

Someone should lose their job over that decision.

Definity Pitt. It was funny watching the football getting stuck in the mud on a punt.

Outside of 11 games in 7 days on that field, they really screwed up when the re-sod right over the existing mess and didn't tear it up...that's what cause all the drama....They need to do what NE did last year and turf it in mid season....

You can not rip up sod and lay new sod between 6:00 pm Saturday and a Monday night game. It is impossible. The NFL recommended placing the new sod on top of the old sod. They now know this wasn't the best idea, especially with 2 inches of rain falling. The Steelers have replaced sod by tearing it up... in past years. The bottom line is Kentucky blue grass does not last through 11 games in 7 days in Pittsburgh in the winter.-------------------By the way the field is going to su*k for the Sunday night game against Cincy too...... So get ready to whine again because it the national TV again
