Not so sad to lose that shake either...
Although the horse and rider ran a strange race.....

Am sad that we lost that first shake though....

Onto other opportunities. A few claiming races this weekend.

Perhaps Workinonthrailroad will run some time in the near future since they scratched today.

Would we try to claim that one?

Doubtful.. Word came down that Maker was anxious to get rid of him (and Ramsey wasn't).. We'll take Maker's view.

It was so true, watching Keeneland's 2nd and 9th and wondering if we were going to claim a horse or not, being in a couple of shakes all in all a good day, and being able to share it with the others on this board.....

The guys from TVG picked the winner in the 10th. I didn't look at Bid Made so don't know what the problem was but there was plenty of turf blood in her pedigree

There is 1 shake in the case where there are multiple claims (with only 1 claim, no shake is necessary), with a pill placed in the bottle for each claimant. There were 5 claims on the 2 in the 2nd and 3 claims on the 2 in the 10th.

I agree it was a new kind of excitement, Steve and Chuck thanks for the efforts I'am sure although it didn't work out yesterday it involved a lot of time, effort and planning.
Given the difference in claiming price ($25 - $16) had we been successful with the 10th race claim, what would have been the plan with the remaining bankroll?

Run her back where she could win, let her get claimed, betting the remaining bankroll and move the partnership up the ladder....or did you have a conservative strategy in mind?
