I love it when people take pride in delivering bad news.

Stay hot.

Well, I'm 0 for 2, and probably on my way to 0 for 6. Serves me right for trying to beat the favorite in Leg 1.

There are a few (a very few) angry/hurtful people here... I sent someone a PM letting them know as politely as I could that I didn't appreciate their "joke" on another post (a line about "DerbyTrail keepads" after I complimented Steve) and I got an insulting/hateful reply back... not even a "sorry, bad joke" - instead I was insulted. Not cool at all

Other than that, my experience here has been great

I'm not sensitive. I just thought you sounded like an idiot breaking my balls when I lost $1,156 right off the bat. It just seemed like a classless thing to do. I don't know many true horseplayers who do stuff like that.

But whatever. It's not my first big losing ticket, and it won't be my last.

That was very lame.

I hit a big Pick-6 a couple years ago and posted every horse I used on another board, race by race, and while many/most congratulated me, one jackass went on a crusade that I didn't hit it and needed to offer proof.

Just think how annoyed that poster would have been had you hit. It'll happen.

Yeah, it bothered me for about 10 seconds. You gotta move on. What sucks for me is I'm probably going to hit 4 of 6, and there won't be a carryover.

thats one of the reasons I rarely tell anyone my plays before a race. Especially live at the track. most people are rooting for me to lose. weird thing about horse gamblers they love to point out when you lose

no-win situation.
if you don't post picks, and you hit, you get abused.
if you post, and miss, you get abused.
post, hit, get abused for not posting soon enough!

Overall, there are good people here...but there is a share of "ribbing" going on that sometimes goes too far.
I'm a "big" boy so I've learned to take it.
Most of the "low lifes" have been shown the door...to "rot" on their own sites with their jealously.
Still, the past year here has been a great one! Looking forward to meeting some of you at the Spa this summer!
