![]() Looking at this race I think we are going to get a price. Catman Running has a great pattern and could get a great trip.
I watched all of Hawthorne races from today. Some things to take from it if you don't play Hawthorne that much are... 1) Their was a serious tail wind on the backstretch, up to 40 miles per hour at some points 2) If you weren't within two lengths of the lead, you had no shot, same will be tomorrow unless they do something drastic. 3) Stay away from Shane Laviolette, he is as worthless as they come 4) RAIL RAIL RAIL |

But if you follow every day of the Hawthorne meet, you will find unequivocally that not every single day has an inside/speed bias. To state that there has been a winter/inside bias at Hawthorne forever is of course, factual. To think that it never disappears from day to day is completely off the mark. There are days in the winter where it plays fair, and anyone who watches the meet throughout would know that. So while you're likely right that inside and speed horses will reign tomorrow, to say it is a certainty as if Hawthorne does not have its share of fair days is misleading to others here who may not follow the meet regularly. That's why it's absolutely imperative to watch the day's races prior to the Illinois Derby before wagering. |

![]() After looking at the TG sheets it is amazing how slow Cobalt Blus has been running. He does have a pattern which indicates he may run a big race today, but he is much slower than the real Derby contenders
