I didnt say he has zero shot. I said that winning the Travers wont "make" Kensei's stud career. While it wont hurt, his credentials are still light especially in a unforgiving market.

I tell you what...Kensei dam looks like a seriouss producer.. He is out of a fairly commercial stallion in Mr G. If he wins the Travers he is worth 3 plus mil as a stallion prospect. I think you have to give Jess a pass on this one. the horse is a legit contender and clearly a solid win makes him reasonably desireable as a stallion.

As you repped...Rachel is one and done every year and ole Jess is never going to see the Mdn Spl that his Curlin/ Rachel makes...Unfortunately... How doesn't winning the Travers make a stallion? Did the Haskell make Munnings?

It doesnt hurt but it wont "make" him as Assmussen has implied. I wasnt commenting on the horse other than as a stallion prospect. I would run him there too but winning the Travers didnt do much for Deputy Commander, Ten Most Wanted, Wills Way, etc.
