I did play Guidry 2nd there in an exacta. He obliged, but I didn't have the winner.

I want to be the first to say Serpa is riding very well lately, esp on the grass.

Guidry is making me yearn for the days of Centeno, where he would take the 5 lengths the best horse in the race and at least win by a nose.

I thought the pool would carry without paying consols when no one hits.

Big 'ole cold front out in the gulf heading this way.. Rain for certain tomorrow, depends on how quick it moves through... doubt if will affect the dirt course much at all, but a distinct possibility that we're off the grass tomorrow..

Just a spit of rain up north so far this morning - so far, so good... next band looks like it will pass south of the track, but they are calling for this most of the day...

Still Fast and firm @ 11:26... last bit of weather moving through now... 20mph winds out of the south will create a head wind in the stretch until the band passes through...

Race 6 and 10 are off the turf. So far that is it. I'd look for them all to come off in the next half hour.

IIRC these are the first races of the meet to come off the turf. Pretty remarkable.
