Agree he's a nice horse, but he's totally unproven on dirt and three cross-Atlantic ships in four months is a pretty tall order.

they had a little piece before the pacific classic with simon bray and the connections...everyone came across as super down to earth and enjoying the ride

Obviously he is a terrific synthetic horse. However, that ship has now sailed, and given his dubious turf form ( I'm not interested in the "dirty scope" excuse ), maybe he is more of a dirt/synthetic runner.
This is a good horse. If Shared Belief wasn't in the P Classic, or didn't run, he would be the talk of the town with his 111 Beyer.

His bottom pedigree doesn't show much dirt form besides a sib who won two cheap claiming races at Charles Town. Will be interesting to see how he works over the surface.
While I don't think he is as effective on turf, I think all things considered he ran fairly well at Belmont---I disagree and think he hit a brick wall in the stretch for a reason. Clearly a very good horse who could be worth trying on that surface again if dirt doesn't pan out. |
