The Bears aren't gonna have a winning season until I am on social security.

The F'n Lions are making moves, unbelievable.

Bears = 5-11 in 2010

But he says some comedy stuff. He just gets so fired up. I love it.

As another poster mentioned, Kiper was nonexistant tonight.

Well, it's official. I am no longer a Broncos fan. After 10 years of attending the home opener at Mile High or Invesco Field, I'm done.

I can't believe they traded UP to get Tebow.

I do like Spiller, but not given what else we need.
This move only makes sense if they trade Lynch away now. I'm hoping they use him to trade up and get Claussen in the 2nd round..

I love the new NFL draft
Doesnt suprise me about Tebow going ahead of Clausen. Remember Brady Quinn? He is a product of the offensive scheme that Weiss had at Notre Lame. Quinn couldn't make it as a starting QB for the Browns. Possibly Clausen could be another product of the Weiss offensive scheme at Notre Lame.

That may be the case but I don't think its a fair tag for Clausen. He spent most of the last year with an injured foot that had to be surgically repaired and his best receiver was out for half the season. He still managed to play extremely well and came through more than once in pressure situations.

Unlike Quin, he throws the ball downfield and throws it accurately downfield. Quin got most of his production throwing quick passes in 4-5 wide sets.

I hate Notre Dame and I realize that many agree with you as far as Clausen's pro propects go. I think that many are going to be proven wrong and I think that there are a lot of people that will be shaking their heads and wondering why they didn't draft this guy.

Thought the Lions moving up to draft Best was a fantastic move last night. They basically gave up a 7th round pick, and look at their projected offensive skilled position starters going into next year:

Stafford
Calvin Johnson
Nate Burleson
Jahvid Best
Tony Scheffler
Brandon Pettigrew

Plus, with the addition of Suh, Vandenbosch, and Corey Williams on the d-line, this team could be on the improve. Then again, when you only win three of your last 40 games, it's hard to go the other way.

I'll laugh my ass of when the Chiefs take Clausen and then he supplants that worthless Cassell, and becomes successful.

I actually hope not, but for this post, I think its appropriate.

Could another reason why Tebow went ahead of Clausen is the fact that Tebow is a proven winner. I know Tebow played on far better teams Clausen did.

but those two points cancel each other out, don't they? tebow is a winner, but how much of that is due to environment? i'm surprised no one went with clausen.

I really think McDaniel took him solely because of his mentality/attitude. After ditching Cutler and Marshall, it seems like he is trying to weed out the primadonna's/head cases out of Denver. Besides, I get the feeling that McDaniel thinks he is smarter than everyone else in the NFL and wants to prove he can coach Tebow into a star QB.
