How about this 'classic':

One Ebay seller's description:

Shoot - the Dee Tee Chuckies are cooler than that!

And can be used as a planter, or vase, or a mug, or a pen holder ...

Personally I like the Seabiscuit mug/cup/planter. This is the one that gets my vote.

I waiting for the Tom Durkin "Bobble Belly"

The Pegram plate is the worst. No wonder one of them sits in the entrance hall of my condo building in Saratoga-who would want to knick that.

Actually the overall quality of the giveaways went down the drain last year. Friends showed me an Arlington lawnchair and the Saratoga one sucked and could barely take my weight.

The previous Saratoga umbrellas which lasted 3 months of London rain-the 07 ones collapse after 1-2 uses

Okay, that one beats the Santa Anita Jock(s) garbage can, which I always thought was the worst.

A couple of years ago, Canterbury gave away track announcer Paul Allen bobble heads.

That's no worse than many examples some can give, but when I was walking in I saw someone walking out with about a dozen--which means he paid for about a dozen admissions to get them.
