Default EZ Warrior???

Anyone hear the latest of the Baffert's Derby Horse? This horse looked good winning at Hollywood Park in the Summer 2006 beating out a late charging GREAT HUNTER. He is my early pick to win next years derby. All I know is that he is owned by Zayat Stables.

If you have any info, let me know.

BAFFERT'S ASSISTANT ANSWERED this the other day.Said he is doing great, and was entered in some races that didn't fill. You should see him race soon.Nice horse...Possible Pedigree problems though(as far as the Derby goes.)

You think he will have distance problems. He has distance on his dam side with Deputy Minister and Mr Prospector being his great grandfather.

I said POSSIBLEPedigree problems. As far as I am concerned ,anything with Carson City involved has possible distance limitations, but that's just me.I love the horse's races.Ran like a real smart horse.Like he was older than 2.

Gotcha and I agree with Carson City. And you are also right about the horse looking smart. I get the same impression.

I like looking for stellar 2yo's way ahead of time as Derby horses to watch.... Then following their odds through those crooked assed future book pools and their 3yo prep season... Finally, when only a slight few of them actually reach the KY Derby starting gate(if any at all), the best part is when their going off odds are higher than any odds you could get in the future book pools....

Example-
A friend of mine had $20 on Giacomo in the Derby future pool #1 at 25-1. We are sitting in the Orleans on Derby day and he says, "Giacomo has no chance to win here, at least it was only a $20 spot I wasted". As you all know he was 50-1 in the real pool and my friend failed to lay any more action on him.

I love the horses...
