Default Venue for Jan 7 . . .

I'm thinking of the 11 race Gulfstream card with almost all 3YO races (is there a possible Derby or Oaks horse in there) or Santa Anita a good mix of 9 races.

Pros - Cons?

If you are looking for a Ky Derby prospect, you are more likely to find it in the Sham at Santa Anita rather than any of the Gulfstream races. At least it offers Derby qualifying points.

Runners in the Hutch at Gulfstream are more likely to be found in the entries to the Kings Bishop or other sprints, although the non graded Mucho Macho Man (I think that's a newly named race) might be used as a prep for the Holy Bull or Fountain of Youth.

Having said that, I'm perfectly happy playing any card you conjure up (since Kamloops is currently dark); both of the choices you suggested are good ones.

Better races at Gulfstream but too many "cat" horses. I like the nine at Santa Anita later in the day.

OK I was leaning south since the nasty north wind is blowing here in Texas again like a screaming banshee. That said, in order to keep our Feline Queen on her paws (err I mean toes) and see if she can land on her feet with out the aid of catnip, we will Forego dogging the plethora of possible flying hair balls and play Santa Anita. 9 races is always better than 11 for us in the "over the hill gang" anyway.

If I came up with anymore jibberish, jocular innuendo and juxtaposition or I may have to drop my cookies. SA it is then.

Ruffian, I use your cat like cunning only as a crutch because I luvs ya!!!

DO I SENSE A CONSPIRACY?

JUST FOR THAT .....
ORDERED A NEW BATCH OF EXTRA POTENT CATNIP FOR SATURDAY!

SO WATCH OUT FOR FELINE FURY
....UNLESS THE CATNIP GETS RUINED BY RAIN!
