Default Tampa Luck Look-A-Like

Does Saturday's Tampa 10th contain a Luck Look-A-Like in some ways? Our Unbridled Gem's last race on Dec 29...no workouts since...switches trainers...goes from known jock to relatively unknown jock (is this an attempt to build odds?)...won't be a big price, but just curious on other's thoughts...and should be tough to beat probable favorite Ubu if that one loads ok.

Vargas is more than accomplished, and has been riding exceptionally well - he doesn't get the best mounts, but makes the most out of them - Won the feature last Friday on a 13-1 shot (a Garner Vinson horse), and beat Ness today on a 22-1 horse. I'd take him over Guidry 100% of the time especially going 2 turns. I don't believe that Vinson clocks a lot of works, so I wouldn't read that much into the layoff line either....Morning line seems about right at 3-1 and will definitely be on my horizontal ticket tomorrow - Good Luck!

I agree with Dan. The lack of published works is never a negative at Tampa. There are too many places nearby with training tracks that the horse could be stabled at and training on. He's getting his work, it's just not being reported.

I know this one is not a firster, but some of the best first time starter hits are with horses that have been prepped on the farm. They are often overlooked because nobody has seen them work and usually those connections are not part of the backside grapevine.

Also, the trainer switch is not a negative one IMHO.
