You know I'm just busting your chops. But Cacique will beat him like a rented mule. Ha ha.

You should make clear whether one horse needs to win, or whether just finishing ahead of the other is sufficient.

I might. But I need to know about the Churchill turf. Are the turns sharp and/or long compared to other US turf courses? And I will need it to come up dry and hot on that day. So info on CD turf config?

It is sure to be a bit on the chili side on November 4th, so your chance of favorable American heat is unlikely.....CD's turf course is pretty standard and good...no gimmicks to it...turns are legit and sweeping, not tight...the stretch is lengthy in terms of American courses, especially west of New York, so it will be a good venue for a genuinely long stretch kick for home...the grass is very well cared for and will take a beating from any weather condition...the surface is legit....actually has grass that is several inches in length - not that putting green sh it that West coast tracks have...it is a very fair course and the best "grass" horse WILL win the race over it - if you know what I mean....it isn't a BS course like Lone Star had 2 years ago at the BC....

Gimme Shirocco and a Euro to be named at a later date and I'll do any proposition you have....

all of these american turf horses are basically the same. you can throw showing up in there now too. they will all take turns beating each other. none of them are even competitive with the top europeans at 12f.

Then I will leave that alone. I want sharp turns. But why not we leave it till we get a little closer and maybes the top Euros stay home. I will not go against the Euro first team on a gentle course.

Smart man....none of these American horses are of Shirroco's or Hurricane Run's caliber....the former will probably come and defend..not sure about the latters status....

i could not agree more. the BCM is another story though. Aragorn is going to be very tough. even showing up or kip deville could run a big race if they get a firm going. they both are very dangerous horses at 8f. the intriguing horses though are gorella and george washington.

Not a smart bet, because you'll probably be able to get 3-1 or 4-1 on both for the BC...I will make a "pride bet", one of those two will win the BCT, the Euros are not as good as everyone thinks they are...Also, I would say Churchill's turf course has tighter turns than Belmont, not too say you can't win coming from off of it, ie War Chant in the 200 BC Mile...

showing up impressed me. i just thought he was overbet. he did not relax which is murder on a soft course. he did beat my choice of relaxed gesture. i think relaxed gesture might be done. kip deville still looked very impressive in the one race where he finished second. he is worth a shot in the BC if he can get a really firm course, which can happen in november in kentucky. soft going is impossible for a horse like kip deville, probably hurt showing up too.

of course your busting my chops...I would expect nothing less. Looking forward to the rematch and neither has done anything to disgrace themselves this year.

Librettist and Iffraaj are both pointed to the Mile.

Much as I love Aragorn, I don't see anyone beating either or both these boys.....

Sorry Dunbar, didn't see that post last night. Like Randy said, simply who finishes in front of the other. It's just a rematch bet that we had from the United Nations at Monmouth earlier in the summer.

Okay, I was just trying to avoid a misunderstanding. Probably shouldn't have butted in, but I'm always surprised how often a friendly bet ends up unsettled (or worse!), because the 2 parties understood the terms differently. You 2 obviously had some history to rely on, which made my comment unnecessary.
