Default Passive riding tactics on short prices VS aggressive tactics on prices

Nothing that happens on the track is more entertaining (if you don't have a bet down) or annoying (if you do have a bet down) than watching a jockey passively ride a horse with dominant early speed on a speed friendly track.

A lot of big wire-to-wire upsets at PID have happened simply because a rider on a short price speed with a pace figure edge thought he'd be cute and let some inferior horse go - while he moves outside to stalk.

Bias hasn't been quite as strong here as last year - but you had some days at the start of the meet where 7 of the 8 races were won wire-to-wire and you've had some big form reversals on horses who got loose recently. Here are a few...
