If Flower Alley doesnt run his race then he is going to be retired after the race.

It doesnt look like wanderin boy drew really well here for his style. I still think he is the only one here that truly wants the lead. Suave may go with him but i think he will be more content to sit right off. If Flower Alley comes back into form as i think he will, its his race to lose.

The morning line on wanderin boy is 12-1 and if its anything close to that, thats who i will be betting although i think the favorite should get it done here.

Premium Tap...
Hmmm...wonder why they call it the "grave yard of favorites"?
No, I didn't have him either, but some did.

I think i want to throw up. I had flower alley singled in everything.

The worst part? I have been on this board defending Kent D all summer and here he tried to throw me a 31-1 gift that i wouldnt take.

Nice ride Kent.

Some days a diamond, some days a stone.
I'm a bit sick too.
Not going to say how much I lost. I'm sure there are plenty of torn tickets laying on the floor.
I hope tomorrow gives you a diamond.
We both will find it if we keep looking for it.

Curt,
If I didn't get lucky once in a while, I'd take up knitting instead.
That's the only reason I keep coming back.
Today is a prime example to not bet chalk.
Stupid me, stupid me, stupid me.
I need to listen to myself more.

I'd say it's a prime example not to bet false chalk. Flower Alley had no excuse for his clunker last time out. And his allowance win before that was nothing special. In fact, he earned nearly identical Beyers in those 2 races, and they were not nearly good enough to contend today.

It's amazing to me that this horse went off as co-fav with what he's shown in the past 10 months. Okay, if you think the horse can rebound AND you are getting 10-1, fine. OR, if you are getting 5-2 on a horse that is clearly the best in the race (AND has shown it recently), fine. But to take a 5-2 shot that has shown almost nothing this year was a big mistake, IMO.

I realize I am saying this after the fact, which makes it nearly worthless; but I did say (in another thread) that I was taking Sun King in a matchup vs FA. The horse I bet to win, unfortunately, was Second of June. At 20-1, I liked him a lot. He certainly didn't disgrace himself.

Funny Cide probably should not have run in a grade 1 but let's just hope his x-rays come back ok.
