Default Is Ivaronne for Real?

He claims that the loss in the Belmont cost IEAH $50 Million. Come on. There is no way that anyone would have paid $300K to breed to Big Brown.

What if Big Brown would have won the Belmont and been a triple crown winner? Thats where this 50 mil figure is coming from... not if BB had just skipped the race but if he had won like Ivarone was planning..

I still think 50 mill is high but if his value before the Belmont was a supposed 60 million dollars (which I still feel is rediculous).... what did it plummet (sp?) to after the loss? 30 mil?? If a win in the Belmont would have raised the value to 80 mil (still feel that number is rediculous) than the loss would have cost him 50 mill.

Ivarone is going off a bunch of what if's and he should have scratched that horse from that race to begin with.

These guys where morons for tying all of the endorsement deals to a Triple Crown sweep. The Sackatoga crew proved to be much more business savvy, as they made a bundle before and after Funny Cide's failed attempt in the Belmont. Of course, their horse was more popular with the masses and they were a more likeable bunch themselves.
