8-1 would be nice on Delightful Kiss if there's pace to run at. He had no chance to run in the Stephen Foster with that trip.

I didn't think they were allowed to run the Iowa Sprint without Coach Jimi Lee!

Wasn't he sent off to the farm while the connections were pondering if he'd race again?

Hope he's doing well.

Hey, they were graced with an appearance by Sparkles last year.

Okay in my book.

I think he ran last, though. I feel like a champion for betting him in the only races he has actually won!

Even better... you may remember this race was supposed to be the start of the season for the "2006 HOY".

He ran last.

Yeah I think he did (run last) and yeah you are (a champion).

Okay must now go and have Wood flashbacks.

Hope he's happy these days doing the nasty.

Nope, not yours- I was referring to Bold Brooklynite's ridiculous claim that Mayan King would be the 2006 HOY. Sparkles (who was in the 2007 Cornhusker), we love him, but he was never held in that regard

I'd give Celeritas a close look in the Iowa Distaff. This filly originally started in CA before shifting locale to Prairie Meadows were she promptly romped in a first condition by open lengths. Next out, she was a decent 3rd in last year's Iowa Oaks to subsequent multiple stakes winner Tessa Blue and some other good 3yo filly. Crushed next out in the easy-picking Kansas Oaks before getting the winter off. Came back off a light work tab (trains locally) a couple of weeks ago on turf in a 100K stakes at Canterbury where she pressed the pace before tiring late. That race should have her fit for this and the return to the main track and a stalking position could make her an intriguing longshot.

Iowa derby last #7-Maya's Storm finished 2nd and was taken down to 5th. i don't think i've ever seen on horse taken down that far.
to me if anyone had a claim of foul it was the #3-Sebastian County. he was squeezed clear off the rail.
i had PM on TVG and they never showed the replays of what the stewards were looking at.
