Default Ricardo leads Baze 9946-9926

Looks like Jorge Ricardo may well be the 1st jockey to reach the 10,000 winner mark.

He's riding virtually every day at San Isidro, Palermo and La Plata comapred to the 5 day week that Baze is able to ride at Golden Gate.

And I had no comprehension of how many races they run in a day over there. Ricardo managed to win the 13th at San Isidro on Thursday and the 13th at San Isidro yesterday-and they will run NINETEEN races on December 15th at San Isidro which is the biggest race day in South America

They are both 5000 wins behind harness driver Herve Filion who retired with 15154 wins. He may have gotten thousands more if hadn't he been barred from driving for more than 7 years.

Would have been a lot more if he didn't stiff so many.

I thought that but waited for someone else to post it. Maybe 25000 wins.

A lot of that went on in the Roosevelt Raceway days at the diner across from Nathans. Walter Case would have probably gotten more than Herve if he could have stayed out of jail.

That's a great point to remember next time anyone gets a wild hair to load up on a harness race.
