![]() ...maiden fillies just went 1:22 for seven panels, which is ligtning fast for those kind of horses there....Could another track record fall just like we predicted last week when it was easy to see that the track was a speedway and Greater Good set a phony track record?
Looking at the card, maybe Yes Yes Yes or Greeley's Galaxy going 6 1/2 furlongs in the 8th???..Doubt anyone in the stake will do it at seven furlongs, but I do like Rogue Scholar in that race..... |

![]() I cringe when surfaces are like that, like pavement. Hope they install synthetic.

![]() Craft Cammack just went 1:08 and change for $40K claimers....Wow!..If he can go that fast, they will definately have a serious chance of breaking the track record in the 8th and 9th races, especially with Yes Yes Yes in the 8th going 6 1/2 panels....watch out!

They just said that he was a nice enough horse. I'm here in Louisville, and consider Churchill to be my home track. I certainly don't mind if he has the track record, and he definitely better than about 80% of what I have seen on the track this spring meet. He has beaten nice horses on separate occasions in his career, and seems like he has overcame some problems and Holthus had him right for that one. Who would you prefer hold the track record at that distance, Joel? It seems to me that it wouldn't be a bad thing for a horse trained by a Churchill trainer who has been here year in and year out to run a good race and get a track record. |

![]() It's a shame what has happened to that track. They used to have a really good surface there. They totally ruined it. I know that several trainers have complained that they notice a big difference. They say that this surface is not nearly as kind on their horses as the old surface. They say that they have a lot more sore horses now.

Like I said, the biggest factor, aside from the super-fast condition of the track, was that races are not often run at the distance. You're certainly entitled to your opinion as is everyone. Don't Get Mad and Buddy Gil needed a telescope to see him at the finish. |

![]() I thought the most surprising thing about Greater Good was the amount of early speed he showed. This is a deep closing router, and now he was on even terms with Exciting Metro, a very quick sprinter, after 4 furlongs. It does arouse some suspicions. Maybe he just "got good"
