![]() Couldn't have found $30.00+ Sycamore winner with a wide angle lens at Keeneland Friday, but seeing through 3-2 Irish Smoke helped us ace the $1,405.00 Alcibiades Superfecta to escape opening day happy. Bobby Frankel maiden and "At the Races" focus filly COUNTRY STAR ($4.20) blew by top pair A TO THE CROFT (#2-Most Likely Winner, $5.70) and GRACE ANATOMY (#1-Best Value Candidate, $6.40) to key the $155.30 Trifecta. And when Longshot/Super Add INITIATION found running room late to check in 4th, the overlaid Super was a hit.
In conversation with us Friday morning, Frankel acknowledged that he did not have Country Star, a Stonerside homebred by Empire Maker, fully ready for her 9/20 Belmont debut on turf, and added that he wouldn't be running her in the Gr. I event unless she was "a really nice horse". Now Frankel must decide if he wants to wheel the youngster back in the BC Juvenile Fillies or Juvenile Turf in just 21 or 22 days. We'll guess he takes a pass... Patrick Biancone, handed a one year suspension by the KHRA for his venomous barn inventory in the morning, enjoyed a particularly humiliating afternoon as Rhapsodybohemian (7th @ 6-1), Quasicobra (5th as 3-2 favorite), Louve des Reves (9th @ 15-1) and Irish Smoke (10th & last as 3-2 choice) distinguished themselves for owners Richard Giacopelli, Giacopelli/Fab Oak, Joseph Allen and West Point/Lew Lakin respectively. Saturday dawns with tremendous cards at Belmont and Keeneland, with the Champagne (Gr. I), Frizette (Gr. I) and Jamaica (Gr. II) at Elmont and the TCA (Gr. III), Phoenix (Gr. III), First Lady (Gr.
