Default Other Memorable "Re-Rallies"

Roses In May against Perfect Drift at Saratoga a few years ago.....

Tiznow against Sakhee in the 2001 BC Classic......

.....that's it for me.

Funny Cide coming back in the JCGC. I know, it wasn't much of a field, blah blah blah but I still remember the race call that he was stopping and then up he came again. Jose Santos looked so happy after the race.

Express Tour over Street Cry in the 2001 UAE Derby is almost certainly the greatest big race re-rally of all-time.

Other SC races up there as well are:

Flame Thrower over Street Cry in the Del Mar Futurity
Flame Thrower over Street Cry in the Norfolk

Perfect Drift, from age 5 on, is a "refusnick" to use a Serlingisim...his shouldn't count.

I can't believe I forgot that Funny Cide race, because I had Newfoundland to complete a $2300 Pick 4.

I also lost with Perfect Drift vs. Roses In May.

But I won with Tiznow over Sakhee. Probably the most exciting win of my career. I had a huge double with Fantastic Light, and the exacta many times.

Skywalker in the 1985 Santa Anita Derby was a legendary one---as he was put away.

He would later upset the Breeders Cup Classic over that same track the next year. Pincay Power.

Tiz Wonderful over Any Given Saturday in the big 2yo stake at CD last year is up there as well. AGS surged to a half length lead off the far turn, and hung like a chandelier.

Though, AGS has a well documented history of hanging. He was a clear 3rd in the stretch at CD--and somehow wound up finishing 8th.

Both of Tiznow BC races are legendary. To fight that hard at the highest level. I know he did not have the type of race mentioned in the first post against Galileo, but that was equally good.

I almost tore up about 10 tickets when she got hooked and passed by composure but her rally was spectacular.

I wouldn't really call the Preakness yesterday a re-rally. I guess I usually think of a front runner reliquishing the lead, then coming back on to win.

Touch Gold certainly has to be one of the most famous winning the Belmont.
