also, honestly.. 50 degree's isnt that cold. 38 would be a different story. cold weather is tougher on hitters than pitchers... try catching one at the end of the bat.. your hands will be hurting for hours!

Really? I mean how long has it been since someone jogged when playing against these people? It has to be at least 3 weeks.

I dont have an answer to this but I have to imagine its more than you might think. It gets this cold in September in Boston and New York and hes also pitched in about 10 post season games (guess), that I have to imagine half of them were around this cold.

He may well get pounded on tonight but I doubt its the cold that beats him. Its really not even that cold out.

we got jogged on in the end of the season often.. we were very up and down this year (but that is just how baseball goes)

no jogging, galloping, or even trotting since the real games started.. it could always happen though, its a funny game!

Any coincidence this would come up on a NY Talk Show?
How does Francessa get his hair to stay in that position by the way?
Must be pine tar.

That did actually go through my head last night. What made me think of it was the rosin (white splotches) he had on the bill and the back of his cap.
That being said, it's probably nothing more than a conspiricy theory by Yankee fans that just can't face the fact that they had their lunches served to them last night by Cliff Lee.

ya know, it would make sense, in the biggest game of Cliff Lee's life, he would cheat and put pine tar on his hat while every HD camera in the country is focused on him. makes tons of sense.. must be true.

Well, L.A. wasn't a true test. That's true. They have very little plate discipline. He looked like he was pitching well, but the Dodgers offense shouldn't be compared to the Yanks. L.A. is a good pitching team that(except for 1 starting performance) simply didn't pitch. You know, somehow, these Phillies. Well, you'll see. People struggle when they are forced to pitch well against them. If you don't pitch well, this team will simply eat you up. They don't just foul these mistakes off. They will hit them in places that will not please you. It forces someone to pitch like their best to just survive. Where is the break in their line-up? Feliz Navidad?

From 7 to 9 we are looking at temperatures from 52 to 54 degrees. Anyone trying to use the cold as an argument is really trying hard to justify making a bad wager.

Just being lazy. When they started playing L.A., they stopped being lazy. Understood it was time to go. They toy. I knew we were dead (in the series) in the middle of that 1st game. This wasn't the same team we played during the regular season. This team has versions, and we were never gunna beat this version.
