Actually it's a NW1XMC/NW2L, but still, the same condition is available on that Sunday for straight 3's.

Yeah, just looked at it in the condition book and realized that. Very interesting spot.

You run her at 6.5 and she will get dusted. She has miler speed, not sprint speed

I think the 7 furlong allowance against 3yos is the best bet unless she can get two turns.

She wins today if Martinez's mental clock was working, 46/3 is ridiculous, especially with that 23 internal fraction, he is off his rocker.

the one HUGE benefit from today is that a better jock might want to ride next time with this performance. If we get Raffie, Mena, or Guid, picture is getting taken, they would have went 47/3 and had a stalking trip and shot the rail like the 2 and won for fun....

Dude, she was getting pressured. Once you commit to the lead, especially with a big, speedy filly like her, it's usually not a good idea to take her off of it just so you get a second quarter break.

i think you're too hard on Willie. I didn't see anything wrong with the ride. he pretty much let her run easy. you say the second quarter was too fast but its not like she was winging out there on a five length lead. She was only leading them by a length. if he had the pace so wrong how come no one moved on her except the 2, who just got by. He still had horse in the stretch.

i would take him every day over Mena.

She didn't have a lead that could've allowed her to relax during the second quarter. To come back from a dead last finish to run second is ultra impressive and if what hooves said is right about her not breathing hard...then look out third off the layoff.

Anyway, I'm done with that argument, because this thread should be 100% positive considering today's result.
Me smart? You have got to be kidding? My MO? Where in Gods name....?

If smart is figuring out things quickly I am definitely dumb. If smart is being curious I am probably smart. But we cant walk on eggshells here. I guess there is a fine line that I may have to figure out. Face to face would be much easier. But the majority of folks are from the NY area and the Chic. area it seems.

I do not watch horses or play horses nearly as frequently as the majority of people on this board (I think this is true). I dont want to antagonize anyone. I realize however, I write too authoritatively (for a purpose). If one met me face to face, then I think it would be understood that I am really interested in other's opinions. At least thats what I am told by the people who actually know me. I read this board much more than I post. And I also realize my posts are excessive.

But I will continue to make statements that evoke answers that help me to understand. I will continue to throw out statements to get something useful started (for me at least, this may be selfish). Just helps me to figure out things out. I may be the only person on this board who actually misses Oracle and I definitely got the feeling he disliked me immensely by his responses. But along with these responses I found what I thought to be some very insightful comments. I guess everyone has their own reasons for even posting on a board like this.

ONe other thing to consider, because I dont think many people remember this; I was one of the people that begged the Chicago people to stay even though they thought "we" were idiots on the ESPN board. I remember asking Hooves and Dellinger to please stay as I thought they contributed a great deal (beyond the ranting of Rembrandt). I think Scavs came in separately, and Playa had already been on ESPN. I think Arljim came in after hooves and dellinger. So I will use that to justify my existence in this space.

Ateam you may find me irrelevant and thats fine. But I wont ignore you because I find you valuable for your thought process as I do many members of this board. Take that anyway you want to.

Can Oracle ever come back? And where did Gander go? Off topic, wrong thread, but I liked reading their stuff.

Preliminary figure:
Got a 99.5 for the winner, which equates to about a 71 Beyer, so a 98.25 for Sumwon which equates to about a 69 Beyer.

Pace call was a 98, which is about 3 lengths fast for this level/distance.

And I disagree she would get dusted at 6.5F in the claiming ranks. Allowance level runners are probably 2-3 ticks too fast for her right now.

Scavs it really looked to me like she wanted to run. Does anyone really know how easy it is to hold her back? She seems very head strong to me, and that means let her run for right now instead of choking her. I would like to read Mr. Simon's comments on this.

You and ateamstupid had a disagreement. No big deal. Arguments are a big part of a board like this.
I happened to agree with him on this one. I am sure there were others that agreed with you.
But you are a fan of horseracing....that is all the justification you need for being here.
