when you single a horse, isen't it because you think the horse is a lock, or most likely to win.... i think hystericalady is that... the fact that thats the first leg makes it even better. i dont think curlins a lock, and think grasshopper is a real threat, and a horse who could make the pick 6 pay tons

Are you kidding me? He'll have to bounce like Pamela Anderson's boo bee's in the Baywatch intro in order to lose this race AND the rest will have to run a career race to beat him off of a bounce.

It's just silly, to me, to not single this horse in what looks like on paper an extremely chalky Pick 6 sequence.

By the way...is there a guarantee on the pick 6? If not, it's insane to play that ticket.

That is an excellent post. I can't help but think there are going to be a minimum of four favorites in this sequence. Hystericalady lays over the Fleur de Lis field, Pure Clan may be vulnerable, Recapturetheglory is going to be very tough, Curlin is an 8 length winner if he's himself, and Dreaming of Anna has once again drawn a field where she is the only real pace presence.

I will say there's one favorite who I'm dying to bet against, if the public is willing to make him the favorite- TIZDEJAVU.

Pillow's right - unless there's a guaranteed pool or a big carryover it makes no sense to play a PK6 at Churchill. . .

I had to look at some of these races for DRF and thought Delightful Bet might be an interesting horse at a price to try to make money with below Curlin in exactas and/or tris. It might be a reach, but honestly, who is really reliable or that good other than Curlin? Delightful Bet ran a couple of decent races, albeit against very suspect company, and his return was excusable. It poured not long before his comeback and a random horse ended up wiring the field. All things considered it wasn't a dreadful return. There's plenty of bad speed in the Foster and he could be one of the few running at the end besides the favorite.

While handicapping look to the west.... severe storms trekking across Missouri and Illinois... will be in Indiana by lunch ... spreading into Ohio and Kentucky.... Heaviest stuff around the Spires after midnight... up to an inch of rain possible... They do great work with the dirt... but the turf may be iffy...

I like D Kiss as well as High Blues to a lesser extent underneath. Hard to pass the race with Einstein and Brass Hat pretty likely 3rd/4th favorites and taking a lot of ex/tri pool action. Maybe Grasshopper runs a pretty good race but he'll likely have to work a bit to pass one or more of the three he figures to be behind.

Collected a $200,000 check. Sure doesn't seem like a waste of time to me.
