The Travers is infinitely more interesting than I ever would have imagined it would be in the spring. It looks very competitive.

Great Travers Card. If the weather stays fine, NYRA could have a great day.
Most interesting Travers field I've seen in many years. Good luck everyone!!

I agree. Not sure why sop many are complaining that its dull. The past 4 or 5 runnings have really hurt this race's great reputation. This field is the most competitive top to bottom since the early 90's.
You can go so many different ways in this year's race and will get paid for being right.

haven't looked at the whole card but the early PK4 is a cluster F. 3 MSW and a state-bred turf they drew 16 horses. I say easy 4 figure payout if not 5, if i only knew which ones to pick though

and yes, the travers field has depth galore, should be a great race to watch

First Saratoga card of the year that will have me going to the windows with both fists. The Travers came up much better than I expected.

ToE ran well 2nd off a break earlier in the year after a less than impressive 1st off performance, so I don't think he is completely unthinkable here.
His last effort at the distance was decent, and while he doesn't seem a likely winner, I think he could easily hit the board, and could surprise.
The more I look at the race though, the more I like Mambo in Seattle on top.

Is it just me or does the early part of the card look very chalky ? I am totally against Tiz It, but races 1-2 look like chalk, 5th looks like chalk to me also.

Lot's of food for thought out there

for me a cheap pick 4

palanka
proudinsky
kodiak, visionaire, jbk
pyro

the 3 P's and whatever.... it's a pretty wild card with decent stakes and plenty of turf action finally..... interested in seeing what Mr. B. throws out there early in the a.m. This is the day we've been waiting/hoping for ....
Good luck to all have a great Travers Day....

Interesting pick 4, there are not too many horses to single with confidence.
