I would like to see Fabulous Strike go 9 furlongs.

He's by Smart Strike out of a Lost Code mare - and he switches off and rates very kindly if no one trys to press him. He's gone 23 and change over very fast racetracks without being hard held at all.

I know he is built like a sprinter - but it would be fun to see him try a route. When you look at the dog that won the Gr 2 at Prarie Meadows and the bums that swept the big Grade 1 stakes going long on the front end yesterday - it makes you hope they try him.

I think they should enter him in the UN next weekend at Monmouth!

He's not a turf horse.

But he rates on the lead much better than Monterry Jazz does atleast.

Can you imagine the first half of the Whitney if FS and Commentator were in there together?

I have a hunch they would avoid each other.

You're right. That's why FS would be in the Vanderbilt or Forego, were he to run at Saratoga.

There are enough graded stakes for everyone who wants one.

I don't think its the craziest idea. He might actually be the 2nd best horse in training, why not take some shots with him?

And Mast Track, in addition to being Frankel owned/trained and having just tried the Shoemaker last, was the subject of Brad Free's HOL GC advance Wednesday.
Steve,

I gotta tell you. Finding you on ATR and this board are probably two of the best things that have happened to me as it relates to horse racing in many years. I know you started with "no insult intended", and I'm sure none was, but Frost Giant? You talk about him like he was a contender in this race. He was 40-1, longest shot on the board and to top it off Rudy Rodriguez was aboard. I watch NY racing just about every day and I wouldn't know Frost Giant if he bit me in the ass. He ran 2nd in an allowance race at Monmouth for Christmas sake last out. 7 of the 8 horses in that race, I knew from heard of to seen them run multiple times. Frost Giant, come on.

Now the Gold Cup horse, I won't pretend I know the first thing about Cali racing, especially since they went to the poly.

But Frost Giant?

dude your way off, he was a contender, like someone said earlier his numbers were not far off any of the top contenders... LOL AND LOOK AT THE TOP CONTENDERS, AP ARROW HES A PIG......as for him being 40-1, he was as low as 10-1 at one point, and he just kept drifting up... what are you gonna do ? someone liked him in the exacta and pick 3, 4 pools, because everything seemed to come back really light

that has nothing to do with it !
i went 3 deep in my pick 4, and could not come up with ap arrow, 6 deep when i backed myself up in the pick 3, and could not come up with ap arrow. its not like there was anyone halfway decent to defeat in the race.. and like i said he was as low as 10-1 with about 18 min. to post

whatever it has nothing to do with it, plus he ran gigantic, because he was the only speed on paper, if naughty new yorker was not rank, VERY RANK, he wins a lot easier

its not bullshit, he was lone speed on paper, and earlier in the week there was a article on drf.com, where dutrow said "rudy is riding him, and were going straight to the lead"... bad group of horses and lone speed, he had a chance.
