I think if you go back to the mid 70s, and before, at Saratoga you would see some great colonies. Don't forget Pincay used to ride in Saratoga, as well as Shoemaker, along with the locals that included Cordero, Velasquez and Baeza. And, I'm guessing if you go farther back there were some great groups.

Not knocking the latest one, as obviously they were deep and, gulp, good....but I think a better assessment would be best overall group in 30 years.

I seen gomez fanicapping and he said they are headed back to cali on the 25th so why would prado's agent bother putting him on more claimers if the guy in 2nd place is leaving?

Because Belmont ends on October 22nd.
Gomez will ride here until then, which is a Sunday, then leave to go to Cali and start riding on the 25th which is their next racing day on a Wednesday. Any more questions?

I dont really have the ability to look up jockey lineups per meet but I find that while there were a lot of good riders I cant get myself to believe that the NY riders of the late 60's or California rooms of the 80's weren't as good.
Prado,Velasquez, Coa, Velasquez, Leperaux, Bejerano, Gomez, Castellano are all solid riders but none would be called legendary.

You have to understand, with the nurses restricting his internet time at the nursing home it is very tough to maintain a sense of humor.

Thanks for clarifying that.

I just need to understand that not everyone has my incredible wit, indelible charm, striking personality, side splitting sense of humor and overall kickass good looks
