Last thought from me - toss Smiley Borel at your on risk
Missed on the derby, i never liked super saver at any point this spring so no one to blame but myself - he showed me for sure that i was wrong. I was all about Paddy in the derby, i thought he ran his heart out but just wasn't good enough on the day. General Quarters was my saving grace for the day, i had an all/general quarters double that paid 400 or so and the General Quarters/all double going into the derby that paid almost 300. A push all in all but much fun.

Best betting day of my life - hit the super on a $200 ticket. Had the $0.50 trifecta three times, and the exacta six times. Needless to say, I'll be looking for some nice framed pics of Desormeaux giving up on Paddy O'Prado once he realized he wasn't going to catch him.

Glad you mentioned it, I saw that also. Surely bad habits are hard to break.

Got hammered at Churchhill and Belmont. Seemed like my horses finished just out all day long. Made a decent comeback at Evangeline (hit a nice 12-1 shot) and Calder later. Overall only droped $270 for the day.

Thanks...

Want an even crazier part of the story - I was in a wedding and a few of us pooled some cash...bride and groom (who is a long time friend) walked away with a healthy share of it, so did father of the bride. It made for one heck of a wedding reception.

thats freaking awesome. They wont remember May 1st as being their anniversary... they will remember May 1st as the day they hit 200k + on the Derby!

I loved Todds filly in the turf race, was live to 1,2,3,7 in the boy sprint, 1,2,3 ran last, last and last... We all know how the Warrior ran. Then I crush Loup Breton to win, and he cant get clear, also had the 2 on a back up pick 4, THAT I WOULD HAVE hit if WARRIOR got up.
So......why the time off from wagering??? the season is just getting started!

It's been a long day RHT85.....time to finish off the bottle you've been drowning your sorrows in and go to bed......or take that "time off" you mention about 10 posts ago!

I do hope he keeps posting, though. I genuinely enjoy his work. He's like my favorite wrestler, The Honky Tonk Man. Yeah, he's perceived as a "villain," but he's a rascally, comic villain. I'm convinced everyone secretly likes him.
