Hey man, I live in Cincy, I listen to the Track Guys every once in a while, I have heard you call in. I believe it was you that gave out that SAF G1 Winner back on Memorial Day.

I love River Downs, don't play there, but I like to go there...

Made me very happy, he just galloped that day, Thanks, I owe you one...

I haven't followed the horse, but is he still around the River?

I may take you up on that, my dad has been going there for over 50 years, he likes to hang out at Jerry's Corner, that guy is pretty funny, my dad and him love to rip on each other...

Default bred to go long

http://www.pedigreequery.com/ojo+de+agua2

At a glance I would say that he has some very good traits
Raise A Native on the Sire side and Nijinsky II on the dam

Maybe too much French blood he may tend to surrender at the drop of a hat

teasing..

The numbers look pretty good but the numbers looked good for Zippy Chippy

ie.. I have no idea

I am very happy for you.. I wish I had the means to take the plunge

Actually, Luthier and Carvin represent the old-style French breeding that was known for staying like a mother-in-law (as somebody calls it).

Exclusive Native, sire of Affirmed, is a good staying source, Heathen and Janus were both middle-distance performeres and sires (10-12f); looks like Solstein was a miler in France. Don't have my research library with me here in Paris so can't say much more until I get home.

Thank you for the info!

Can you tell me what those numbers next to his name mean??

DP = 5-1-16-2-0 (24) DI = 1.40 CD = 0.38

FMC,
There's more than i can explain.
DP is the dosage profile.
DI is dosage index
CD is center of distribution.

You'll find the explanations at this site:

FMC,
Good luck with your horse. As you can see, he's bred for classic distances.
It's up to you and your trainer to evaluate what he looks like on the track.
There are many different ways to build "works" into him.
Baffert and H Allen J, and many others use wind sprints (run short to build lung capacity). Others go with long gallops (muscle, endurance).
It all depends on how your horse responds. You can always mix up the tasks.
Then find a race that suits him and work toward it.
Best of luck!
DTS

Well...first update about OJO DE AGUA...lol

He arrived today from Rio de Janeiro...He is a very good looking colt!!

His former vet was talking with my trainer....Despite his 2 starts on turf were not very good, the colt was one of the best of his barn (according to his Studīs jockey)....always with excellent workouts. And he is son of a top stallion, in a champion brazilian mare.

The problem is that they were suspecting the colt has a little problem (And TNT Stud sells his animal even if they have any small problems). The problem he may have is that his testicles goes up when he is running...causing pain.

I think he will make one or two starts...and we will observe if this is the problem, in fact...If this is really the problem, he may undergo surgery to remove one testicle...
