She just chewed up the screen in every scene she was in, and was amazing. Having said that, Tilda Swinton has been very good for along time, I loved her work in "The Deep End" from 2001, and in 1992 in "Orlando". She is extremely gifted and talented, and it was nice to see her recognized, if not for this role, but for her work in general in her career.
