Default Lanes End...

I am liking a few in here, but I was wondering what you guys thought of this race. I don't know what to make of Todd's pair.

I really like Twilight Meteor, but Bullara had some nice races on the turf as well. I am also wondering about Sedgefield. He has been first or second in all of his races on the turf and won his only race at Turfway.

I know I like Hard Spun and Forefathers, but I question this distance for them. (They are both in my rttr stable so I hope one of them wins).

Any thoughts? Am I crazy for looking at TM; Bullara and Sedgefield?

There seem to be a ton of horses in this race that can win. . . I'm trying to narrow down the field for a Pk3 but I'm having alot of trouble. . . I think the contenders are:

Bullara, Forefathers, Twilight Meteor, Hard Spun, For You Reppo, and Sedgefield. . .

I wouldn't include Bullara if it weren't for Johnny V/Pletcher. . . He'll be the higher priced of the two and the fact that Johnny V is on him COULD mean something. . . Cotton Blossom's win in the Schuylerville comes to mind- Pletcher had 2 entered, Johnny V. rode Cotton Blossom and she won at higher odds than the other TAP entry. . .

I like Forefathers but I might toss him because he'll be underlaid. . .

Bullara will draw money because of connections and he has shown great improvement. I dont think his odds will make it worth the stab. Overbet imo.

I don't like Hard Spun at all as a Derby horse but don't be surprised at all to see him move up on the poly. I think he may ultimately turn out to be a good turf horse.

Seems like quite of bit of early speed in the race. SportsTown, Bullara, Forefathers, HardSpun and possibly Starbase all have early zip. I'm using For You Reppo, Twilight Meteor and Sedgefield.

I don't get Twilight Meteor at all ( and Bullara is comically bad ). Did anyone take a good look at the field Twilight Meteor beat at Keeneland on Polytrack?

Suffice to say it was more than a little weaker than this field. He will be probably less than a third the price of his actual chances of winning and likely even more.

I believe one could take a beating while trying to play this entire card tomorrow at Turfway. Tough, really tiring. I wish that I had started this one early.

Aqueduct is not as difficult tomorrow.

Agreed Grits. The early Maiden races are impossible. In the stakes, it seems I can only get down to about 4 per race......makes it hard to make $ that way.

I like the 8th race alot. #2 Our Dancing Babe @ 15-1 is improving and will have pace to close into, but like #5 Sealy Hill on top. And I guess you have to use #10 Silverinyourpocket as well but got a feeling she may get weery in the lane.

In any event, it should be a good day to watch racing. Good luck.

I like what you see Root, particularly Sealy Hill, but more than those two, I like Olivine. She's cutting back and it looks like she can be on it, or close, either one.

One has too look at EVERYTHING Helen Pitt's has in.

I cant figure out Olivine....she was 5 lengths clear the entire race last time out, and she wasnt going very fast. Her Maiden breaker was more impressive, and will prob need that style here. Looks like she is flexible in her running style.

I like Helen's horse in the Lanes End, hopefully Kent can have her relax and sit back a bit.

I keep seeing horses on the card that interest me, I look up Kent D. is on 'em. Kent ain't gonna win all these races, ain't gonna happen.

Olivine would have to be a completely different horse on polytrack to be competitive....because her dirt form stinks. She took advantage of a huge inside speed bias and a very oddly run race....to say the least.

Five maiden special, and five stakes, why didn't they leave off the starter allowance and the allowance.

FIVE MSWs--crap shoots--one could lose their shirt in all this.

Well I'm going to focus most of my play tomorrow on Turfway, as I have had some success there.

With that said, tomorrow is completely different than a normal day.

It may be chaotic and I'm thinking there will be some bombs along the way, hopefully I can snag one.

Its a quirky place. If you've been following all through the winter you will have seen the track playing all over the map, first penalizing speed, then nothing but speed, now a mixture.
