![]() Harty had a 4 yo filly last year named Dubai Escapade which won a G2-Madison and a G1 - Ballerina. I remember her winning the Ballerina by 6-7 lengths and also she won a stakes at Belmont by a large margin. I saw her the day she ran poorly (as many did) at Calder in the Rooney.
I think she was either lightly raced or unraced at 2. |

![]() I am trying not to get in the blame game anymore, so I am not going to blame Harty for Tempera's fate. I do think certain trainers do a better job with their charges: Bobby Frankel stands out with me; his horses are cared for with the utmost attention to keeping them healthy. He was able to get Empire Maker to last through the TC. From what I read about the horse, he had soundness problems. Others did not do so well. I do not think Bob Baffert's Vindication was treated as well as Empire Maker; thus he had to be retired before ever running as a three-year-old. That still bothers me. I was hoping to see Vindy beat EM.
