Either way, I'm satisfied because even if they won today, USC had no business in that game, none.
Lets face it, Florida will get beat almost as badly as USC would have if they get the nod.
If Florida gets the nod the sweatervest has a championship in the bag.
it would say that the other conferences don't matter
Florida is a conference champion, Michigan is a second place conference team

Here is another way to look at it. Both Fl and Mich played two patsy div 2 type teams so I tossed those. Fl opponents won 63.43% of their games. Mich opponents won 58.33% of their games. They both played 3 each 10 win teams and both won 2 of those 3 games. Mich won 9 of 10 games (tossed Cent Mich and Ball St), Fl won 10 of 11 games (tossed UCF and West Carolina). Based on strength of opponents, Fl deserves the shot.

In the rest of the country outside the of the south, noone gives a rats ass about conferences, they just want the best two teams to meet in the championship game and provide the most exciting game.
You see, when the best two teams meet, its always more exciting than watching one team pound on another team.
Now, if you wanna make a little wager on OSU-Florida if it occurs be my guest!!!
I think that anyone who is advocating such a matchup wholeheartedly should be willing to back the Gators, seems logical.

I agree.
yeah, all the lines makers said Michigan would be a 6-7 point fave over Florida on a neutral field.
Florida will get absolutely destroyed by OSU, won't even be a game.
You'd think maybe one of these "yee haw!! So SEC" guys who are so outspoken about Florida should be playing in the big game would wanna put down their money against OSU in the big game.
Lets see how many of these yeehaws want some action.

so one has to say yeehaw if one roots for an sec team? hmm, interesting.

it has nothing to do with what you feel the outcome of a game would be, it has to do with getting the two best teams to meet. according to what i've seen, at this point florida should be chosen over michigan to face OSU. and after the upset win by ucla mike, you should know that on any given saturday, any team can beat any other team.

No you misunderstand. You aren't a yee haw if you root for an SEC team.
You are a yee haw if you root for an SEC team(that isnt yours) to make a chapionship game as if that somehow vindicates the SEC team you root for who is not going.
I just don't grasp the logic of that and never will. It would be like me rooting for the Cowboys to get to the super bowl if the Giants don't go as if by being in the same division as the Giants it vindictates them.
I just don't understand or get this logic and never will.
And you can use that any given sunday crap on anything, but anyone who thinks Florida is a better team than Michigan needs counseling or isnt that bright.
Bottom line is that Fla-OSU will produce a boredom blowout game, anyone who thinks other wise, well I'm sure plenty of folks will offer you the spread. I doubt many will be takers though.

ok, i think i've got you on the yeehaw thing. but many of us who pull for an sec team know that week in and week out, the sec is so tough. very contentious, and seemingly not getting the respect it should nationwide.

i think all this debate is moot. i think michigan gets their re-do. whether michigan is better than florida--i'm not sure i'd take either one over the other. after all, i feel florida could handle those on michigans schedule. i wonder what michigans record would be had they played lsu's schedule...or what would OSU's be? lsu played four top ten teams on the road. OSU can't boast that resume, can they?

if the officals wouldn't have blow the OKlahoma-Oregon game
I'd say OU would have a better beef than Michigan
the national championship should be played with conference champions
