Yeah I see what you are saying. I just don't think Smarty had any problems with the distance, it was the pace that hurt him. But honestly, who cares anymore?
Yeah, it is irrelevant now. The biggest reason I have so much respect for Smarty is for how well he did in the Belmont considering my thoughts of him being best as a miler.
