Thanks to the big money at Saratoga and Del Mar, the bums raked in a stunning $21,111 today, pushing the total to a whopping $34,144. I expect that one day total will be hard to beat going forward.

Today's bums lost a relatively small $1,070 (not that I wouldn't mind an extra $1,070 for nothing) bringing the total wasted so far up to $35,214.
I have to say that the ability to even pick 45 horses in a row and not have any even make the superfecta is pretty impressive.

Doug, I know you had that solid day a few years ago in the contest out west. Santa Anita when it was still poly, maybe? I think you won 8 of 9 races that day, or something of the sort. Have you ever picked 10 winners in a row?

As soon as I either succeed or fail at this task, I will start a thread in here trying to pick one winner a day for 10 days and see if I can do it.

If something happened to the two favorites, the horse was as competitive as anyone left. Anyway, 51 down, only 949 more to go.

Thanks largely to the aforementioned 11-1 shot, today's bums lost a cool $3,844 bringing the grand total up to $39,058.
