![]() Haha, nicely done.
This weekend is one of our main races of the year - the 2000 Guineas! The last three winners were Tell A Tale, Katie Lee and Jimmy Choux. This year's field: 1 1X13 Ginner Hart 3 80 56.0 Patrick Holmes Alexander Fieldes, Wanganui 2 111 Burgundy 11 79 56.0 Matthew Cameron Jason Bridgman, Matamata 3 5X312 Shuka 7 79 56.0 Hayden Tinsley Peter & Dawn Williams, Riccarton Park 4 511 President Lincoln 4 78 56.0 Lisa Latta, Awapuni 5 30534 Dollario 8 76 56.0 Danielle Johnson John Sargent, Matamata 6 12622 Micken 12 74 56.0 Rosie Myers (a) Kevin Myers, Wanganui 7 60X71 Shanghai Bund 10 74 56.0 Vinnie Colgan John Sargent, Matamata 8 122 Rock 'n' Pop 1 72 56.0 Jamie Bullard Jason Bridgman, Matamata 9 X1533 Bulwer Bay 5 70 56.0 Terry Moseley Mandy & Matt Brown, Ngapuke 10 X5215 Royal Hu 6 68 56.0 Jay Misbah Terri Rae, Riccarton Park 11 216 Secret Whisper 13 68 56.0 Daniel Stackhouse (a) Jason Bridgman, Rangiora 12 11X12 Anabandana 9 90 54.5 James McDonald (a) Don Sellwood, Cambridge 13 21X18 Kasumi 2 74 54.5 Darryl Bradley John Sargent, Matamata I think Burgundy could be special - three for three without being touched with the whip. Anabandana's always hard to beat. No Antonio Lombardo. Apparently he's not a good traveller. I can understand that, but I thought the 2000 Guineas might have been worth the trip! I'll be catching an early-morning plane down there on Saturday, like every year! Can't wait! |

![]() Thanks! It's a tiring day - have to be back tomorrow night and go to work on Sunday morning! But it's worth it. I hope Burgundy is as good as he has looked so far. Six O'Clock News is running in the Metropolitan as well.
And Jimmy and Wall Street are running in the Emirates in Melbourne. ![]() |
