I once read that when Lukas first came to TB racing, he started using them as the white both made it easier to ID his horse in a crowd down the backstretch, plus it was a "clean and sharp" professional fancy unique turnout on race day for Lukas Racing. Lukas was stickler for clean and sharp. Pletcher is a Lukas trainee, I'd guess he likes it, too.
If you're talking about the bitting, seems most of his horses go in a plain snaffle with a dropped noseband. Terrific pictures as always! Thanks!

thanks so much for posting and sharing those, finally get to see what I missed !! was in the city for the weekend and managed to get out to BEL for the first time evah, a great experience - only problem, the non-racing group was with wanted to catch the early train back so had to leave right after the Vosburgh, didn't complain since they'd been good sports about the field trip, they might even be new fans after figuring out how to stoop and get extra tickets for the giveaways, think they ended up with like 5 or 6 Lemon Drop Kid commemorative plates circa 2000, they seemed real happy
