![]() Still partial to the Southpoint Casino after my visit there for the 'Super Saver' derby. Drinks, no problem and they have a handicapping contest every Thursday that pays the top 2 places based on the number of entries. First place payoff is around $750 and $500 for second. A $20 entry is all and it's picking winners only. Check the website but I found the atmosphere quite enjoyable and no problems getting wagers down. It's down from the strip but has plenty of things there to supplement the race book.

![]() Wynn throws a helluva BC bash and does everything right for horseplayers. And I really like the Las Vegas Hilton's Superbook. On the other end of the spectrum, Rio doesn't even require drink vouchers. The cocktail waitresses will bring you the beverage of your choice at all times. The place is nothing special, but it's a nice enough spot. Mandalay Bay has a very comfortable book, though I've never been there for a big event.
