It wont be long before she has Rosenhaus as her agent, Allred as her new attorney. She will have 10 mil in the bank within a year.

While I'm certainly not "happy" about the verdict. I have followed this case closely. The fact is, the jury probably got it MOSTLY right. The State did not "prove beyond any reasonable doubt" as far as Murder 1. The chloroform evidence was sketchy at best. ( the car was cleaned with cleaning products ).The "smelling" evidence was even sketchier ( first time in a court ). The stain in the trunk was like the Virgin Mary on grilled cheese which sold on eBay and bought by Golden Nugget. Everybody lied, from the cops, the scientists, to Kronk, to her Mom and Dad and Brother. George Anthony was VERY suspicious on the stand, being argumentative with Baez, etc. Why did he not fall on the sword for Casey? It's his daughter! The duct tape could have easily come from them tying the bags closed when disposing of little Caylee - remember the pets being buried the same way. The prosecutor Ashton certainly didn't help with his smug grins throughout the trial. There were several people who knew where the body was months before they actually "found" her. If they would have found Caylee in August when Kronk first called it in but was blown off by the fat cop because he slipped on mud on the way down and blamed it on Kronk, then much more evidence would have been available. He got fired

You also have to remember, the jury was sequestered for 6+ weeks. They didn't get to hear all the media coverage. I'm sure they wanted to get a verdict quickly. Going with Not Guilty was a lot easier than putting her to death on the evidence they got to see.

Do I feel that something illegal happened? Absolutely.

Just goes to show that being hot and being a young white female can go a long way.

I totally agree - I was very surprised a lesser included wasn't guilty

FALSE - would you rather live in South Korea or Libya or numerous other places where they execute without due process? The US justice system is the best, and while I don't agree 100% with the outcome, I do agree with the process. And lets face it, the prosecution didn't prove much in this case. Remember, the jury ONLY heard what was said from the witness stand, they didn't get to hear the media's assassination.

Rob.. You need to study your geography a bit. South Korea is a democracy and they require due process.

i agree, the problem isn't with the judicial process. there will always be times when guilty folks go free-which is a damn shame. but it's got to be better than the alternatives.
i worked with a girl who is pro-death penalty...i told her i disagreed with having it, as who would want to be responsible should an innocent person be put to death. she is under the impression that only guilty people get arrested. i told her to consider if she was the person in the wrong place at the wrong time, she might feel differently were she charged with a crime she didn't commit.
i find it ludicrous that the jury cited george as a reason to have doubt. george wasn't on trial, and casey's 'defense' if you wish to call it that was completely disproved to the point that the supposed drowning couldn't even be mentioned in closing by her joke of a lawyer. her lawyer and her lame stories didn't get her off. i guess anyone wanting to get away with a crime has learned something. duct tape, and lie like hell.
