I'm not posting the link to Virtual Form Guide because the photo is too sad.
What a shame. Excelltastic Put Down Written by Carl Di Iorio Thursday, 30 December 2010 12:45 Excelltastic (right) falls after clattering into the fallen Gold In Dubai (left) in the aftermath to the $100,000 Listed Christmas Stakes (1200m). Stallion prospect Excelltastic has been euthanised following Sunday’s three-horse fall in the $100,000 Listed Christmas Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield. Trained by Peter Moody, Excelltastic clattered into the fallen Gold In Dubai past the post as can be viewed by clicking here. A post race veterinary examination of Excelltastic revealed the horse to be lame in the near foreleg however it was later found the five-year-old son of Fantail had a fractured shoulder. Excelltastic raced 28 times for six wins and eight placings with prizemoney in excess of $400,000. His only stakes victory came in the 2009 Listed Port Adelaide Guineas (1800m) and was placed in races such as the 2008 Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m), 2009 Group 2 Autumn Classic (1800m) and 2009 Group 3 CS Hayes Stakes (1400m). * * * Gypsy Supreme... http://www.derbytrail.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40203 |

HIs name was Rakti and he was a great, a champion, a nutcase it's true but still...
He was brilliant. This was one of my favorite horses of all time and I'll never forget him, his races, how much fun he was to follow, his escapades and all the great quotes and stories about him. This is just heartbreaking. The world lost a great. Rest in peace always, naughty boy (well he was, or could be. A handful anyway). Your fans all over the world are so deeply saddened... we will never forget you. ![]() http://www.derbytrail.com/forums/sho...306#post738306 |

I know this is last years thread but this happened on the 21st...
Her name was Toomuchinformation and she was 7. Of her 9 previous starts she had fallen twice and never once hit the board. In her best race she was 5th. She was sent out as a 66/1 shot (she wasn't the longest shot on the board though - not that it matters), chased the leaders and then went wrong. Really too bad. Poor girl. |
